We are working with an international and expanding produce manufacturer, renowned for their high-quality produce, in the search for an Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team in the Czech Republic. The Engineering Manager they are looking for will ensure plant efficiency and collaborate with wider functions to drive maintenance and best practice across two sites.

The successful Engineering Manager will:

• Excel as a strong team player adopting a supportive and collaborative approach
• Have strong communication skills
• Take a proactive approach in raising operational standards
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

The company is experiencing significant growth, fuelled by substantial investments and plans to open a new site. Renowned for their innovation, they launch new products every month and experience seasonal peak for eight months of the year. They also focus on ecological initiatives, such as planting fruit trees and supporting educational projects in collaboration with local schools.

The experience you need will be:

• It is important that you have full right to work in the EU
• Manufacturing experience, ideally within food
• Apprentice/Degree qualified
• Experience in leading engineering teams, at an Engineering Supervisor level or above

Some of the key responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include:

• Leading the engineering infrastructure as the business grows and develop the engineering team to adopt best practice ways of working in a positive and motivated environment
• Allocate tasks and ensure preventative maintenance processes are completed and documented
• Supporting modifications and continuous improvement initiatives to maintenance procedures, analysing outcomes and ensuring legal compliance on site. Ensuring at all times Safe Working Procedures are in place
• Look for new machines and process that will allow us to move forward in terms of cost, operational efficiency and quality, producing comprehensive plans to buy, install and implement these within the business.
• Collaborating with production to prioritise interventions, drive maintenance best practise and overseeing preventative maintenance initiatives
