Current State of the Interim Market – June 2018
We have been getting a lot of questions from both clients and interims lately on how the interim market is progressing. As we are in to our measures here at Corvin Fox, I’ve completed a summary of how we have found the market year on year.
Firstly, and most importantly we are finding a strong demand for Interim Support, however, it’s not the easiest to predict under the current economic climate!
Head of Department and Directors – We have seen a significant increase in demand for leadership roles.
NPD, Commercial, Procurement and Marketing – There has been a slight reduction here.
Production – We have seen a slight fall in this area which has mainly been driven by a reduction in the demand for Shift Managers.
Technical/Food Safety – This has increased slightly due to a significant increase in demand for Hygiene Managers.
Supply Chain– Demand has increased significantly here. This can be attributed to an increase in demand for Planning Support.
Engineering – A slight reduction here.
Hr and Ci – These have remained static.
The biggest increase has been senior leadership roles as there has been a big demand for high calibre leaders in the current economic, retail and Brexit climates. The increase in supply chain demand may be down to pressure on the raw material costs and ensuring this area is tightly controlled.
