Inadequate Research – This will put you on the back foot straight away as you wont be aware of key areas to look out for and you will probably miss out on the best candidates.
No Show – Poor communication to the candidate on location and time, not getting confirmation from the candidate that they will attend etc.
Rushed Interview – If you are spending your allotted hour for the interview getting a meeting room, steeling 5 minutes to go through the cv, organising coffee, dealing with a phone call, you wont have much time left to interview!
Poor First Impression – It’s the candidate’s first impression of your company. If you are not prepared, this will be very apparent to the candidate and come across as unprofessional.
