If you are ready to take your next steps into a Senior Technical leadership role that will shape and drive the function across multiple sites, then we have the perfect role for you.

We are working exclusively with renowned chilled foods manufacturer, in their search for a Head of Technical to lead two of their sites to success. The two sites you will be leading are in the Cheshire area with one of the sites being their flagship site. The Head of Technical they are searching for will instil best practice across both sites, whilst growing relationships with the major retailers.

To be successful as the Head of Technical, you will need to be:

With several sites across the UK, out client are considered a long-standing industry leader within chilled food arena. Over recent months they have been leading a positive transformation of the business and would be looking for you to join them as the Head of Technical to further drive the transformation forward. Working within a tightknit senior leadership team, you’d be empowering the teams whilst creating a culture of quality first, bedding in industry best practice along the way.

The key experience you will need as the Head of Technical:

• Food Manufacturing experience, with a great understanding for high care products and their challenges
• Operated as a Technical Manager or higher whilst working within a sizeable and/or complex site
• Great working relationships with retailers and have experience dealing with Own Label products

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Drive Technical excellence through food safety and quality standards throughout the business
• Develop and agree business wide KPI’s with the site teams, which drive continuous improvement, and influence real issues aimed at achieving consistent results
• Liaise with customers to develop quality plans and agree KPI’s appropriate to their requirements
• Monitoring the quality and auditing of all suppliers
• Continually evaluate and implement improved standards of best practice and GMP throughout the business to ensure food safety compliance and gain competitive advantage through quality and reliability

For the successful candidate they are offering up to £95,000 plus car allowance and wider package. They are also offering a relocation package should it be required by the successful candidate.
