Time to Turn it Around – Our Interim Candidate of the Month!

The first half of 2023 has been extremely turbulent for the food manufacturing industry. The Grocer recently put out an article which highlighted the severity of this, with 56 companies falling into administration throughout the first half of 2023. Orchard House Foods, Meatless Farm and Big Prawn Company are just a few businesses that have gone. Comparing this to 2022, where 53 companies went into administration throughout the entire year, it starts to bring home how much harder this year is shaping to be.

With inflation not showing many signs of slowing down, grain prices looking like they may be on the rise again and more plant-based brands looking to exit the market, I anticipate we may see a few more before the year is out.

With this in mind, one of our interims has just become available again and is well-versed with business turnarounds.

This highly focused interim has repeatedly shown their ability to quickly grasp the key business challenges then deliver results at pace by leading management and workforces on change and turnaround projects. They have a wealth of experience working with and leading both large blue-chip businesses, as well as smaller SMEs with the Cake Crew, Little Moons and Gousto to name a few.

Take a look at this candidate as they are available now and are ready for their next role!
